Purchasing & Merchandising Manager

We are looking for a skilled retail e-commerce Purchasing & Merchandise Manager - experience in electronics preferred.  The right candidate will have experience managing shipping and inventory across multiple outlets (local, fulfillment, and drop shipping) and across multiple stores/brands including Amazon and Ebay.  Must have experience working with vendors of all sizes and levels of sophistication. We also require the candidate to possess excellent data mining and analysis skills to improve product forecasting, pricing, and vendor performance.

• Work closely with Marketing and Sales to offer new products and to manage existing product offering
• Analyze order and product data to improve overall inventory and supplier efficiency and to improve return on investment performance
• Ensure competitive pricing, assortment, and services through analysis of demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and retail/ e-commerce competitors
• Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, operational standards, financial goals, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the consumer electronic industry, attend educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks, benchmark state-of-the-art practices, and participate in professional groups.

• 1+ years experience as a Merchandise Buyer for a retailer
• Must possess excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access; Crystal Reports experience is an asset
• Extremely organized & detail oriented
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, planning, prioritization and organizational skills coupled with problem resolution capabilities
• Strong negotiation skills
