The Digital Tag Keyless Deadbolt Lock
Do It Yourself and Use Existing Door Holes. No Drilling Or Wiring.
The Digital Tag Keyless Deadbolt Lock is designed to provide the highest level of security for your home. Although the first impression you would have when you see the is its beautiful style, as you study the details of its structure, material, and engineering design, you will conclude that the is one tough security device.
Features:
- Protects against lock-picking or vandalism (sand, gum, glue, etc.) by eliminating the conventional keyhole.
- Designed to withstand kicking, sawing, hammering, and prying.
- Lost or stolen Tag Keys, which cannot be duplicated, can easily be deleted from the lock, immediately rendering the missing keys useless.
- Convenient keyless entry using a passcode that can be 3 to 20 digits.
- Auto lock feature that automatically locks your door when it is closed. It can be turned off during times of high traffic through the door.
- Matches the beauty of your home with 3 most popular finishes.
- Guaranteed to fit all standard American doors so that you only need a Phillips screwdriver to install the lock.
- Master function using a master passcode and master Tag Key is included.
Robustness
Here are some of the features that make this such a robust door lock.
- Constructed mostly of metal, in both interior and exterior units. Even the keypad cover, battery compartment cover and the Open/Close button are made of metal. No wonder it weighs 6 pounds, 2 to 4 times the weight of most other deadbolt locks!
- The three main components of the exterior unit are designed to withstand hammering. The Tag Key sensor, temporary power terminal, and the keypad are supported by metal or hard-rubber parts so that any impact on them is born by a 2.5-mm thick metal mounting plate as well as the door surface, thus protecting the circuitry in the exterior unit. Smashing any of these components will not automatically yield access to the intruder.
- The exterior mounting plate blocks access to the deadbolt latch even if the exterior unit is broken off thus preventing the intruder from unlocking the lock. Most conventional deadbolt locks would immediately expose the deadbolt latch if the exterior unit is broken off, allowing the intruder to manually retract the deadbolt latch and gain access.
- The 1-inch throwbolt is fortified with a 5-mm thick carbon rod that resists sawing.
- The opening between the exterior unit and the interior unit (through which the connection cable passes) is small and covered so that hot or cold air from the outside is not allowed to enter the interior unit thus minimizing condensation.
- Although water-proof, any moisture that still enters the exterior unit or from condensation is allowed to flow down through the weep holes. The weep holes are partially blocked by the mounting plate to prevent abuse.
- On the interior unit, the battery compartment cover is fastened with a screw so that the batteries do not accidentally fall out if the door is slammed shut. It also has rubber pads to secure the batteries in place.
- The manual override button directly operates the deadbolt latch. It has no intervening parts other than a directly-connected rotary bar made of metal, so that just about under all circumstances you will be able to open the door from the inside.
- The vital parts of the lock such as the CPU, PCB, batteries, motor, deadbolt latch drive mechanism, etc., are located in the interior unit on the secure side of the door and are further protected by a heavy-duty interior mounting plate that disallows any access to the vital parts.
- A bypass circuitry that protects the PCB in case of a high-voltage attack so that the lock remains locked.
QUALITY
The very first point about the quality of the Digital Deadbolt Lock is that the engineers who designed this door lock and the manufacturing facilities where we make the AP501 have been designing and manufacturing top-notch digital door locks since 1999. Millions of our digital door locks have been in use throughout the world including South Korea (where the locks are manufactured), Japan, England, U.S.A., and even in Kazakhstan. What makes the Digital Deadbolt Lock special is that it is the culmination of all of the knowledge and experience gained from making digital door locks for almost a decade and that it is made specifically for the American residential doors.
To ensure that each unit of the Digital Deadbolt Lock digital door lock is made to the highest standards of quality, we start with the materials and components used in the lock. All incoming parts are sampled frequently and some critical parts such as the connector cables are 100% tested before they are entered into the manufacturing process. The suppliers of parts and materials must adhere to strict standards of quality and their performances are measured against an ever-improving benchmark.
Once inspected, the parts are stored in a climate-controlled storage room. The PCBs are manufactured by state-of-the-art lead-free soldering machines that solder computer chips onto the board. As each unit is assembled, it is tested at each step of the assembly line making sure that a defective unit, if any, is detected immediately.
Lastly, our manufacturing facilities, with a monthly production capacity of 100,000 units, are certified for ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System
