The patented solution employs a small, easily installed, on-site intelligent monitor that sends image, sound and text information directly over the telephone line to the Company's sophisticated data alert center. It also sends alerts to three user defined phone numbers.
The SafeScout is a break through in remote monitoring, allowing you to see who's in your home with its motion sensitive detectors. When the motion sensitive SafeScout is activated it will deliver five real time images and 20 seconds of audio to your Multi Media Service enabled cell phone, email, or a text alert to your pager, allowing you to see and hear any intruder.
SafeScout comes with two affordable monthly pricing plans. You can choose to have your SafeScout service monitored by the Sentinel Vision 24 Hour Security Monitoring center for a low $29.95 a month, or you can choose the alerts only service for $19.95 a month. Both plans will offer you the peace of mind of having a watchful eye on your home while your gone or your loved ones are alone.
At any point, alert information can be processed by the Sentinel Vision professional monitoring group for further action including notifying the police.

Intrusion Detection
Should a human intruder (the Safe Scount is pet proof) enter a Safe Scount monitored location, the SafeScout's remote siren will immediately begin sounding. The digital camera within the SafeScout will quickly snap and save five color digital VGA images. Along with the images, 20 seconds of sound will be recorded. The SafeScout then sends the event data, the images and the sound track over the existing telephone line our 24 hour monitoring system. Within seconds your user defined phone numbers, emails, and picture phones will be contacted with the existing information.
Panic
For elderly who live alone, those who may require immediate attention, or children left home alone after school, the Safe Scout is a wonderful monitoring system. Should they want to send an immediate request for help, the Safe Scount panic button is easily accessible and available. The service will immediately activate the siren and call for help. Panic notification service will send a panic alert to user defined references. The panic button works up to 50 feet away from the SafeScout monitor.

How does SafeScout compare to other alarm systems?
SafeScout provides similar state of the art features of a traditional alarm system, but the feature rich SafeScout system can also send images and sound with an event alert. Most traditional alarm systems have a motion detector, that when it activates, the system calls out to notify of the system activation. Unlike other systems, the SafeScout will also capture images (pictures) and sound of what actually activated or tripped the motion detector. This information is then sent to whoever the customer has pre-selected along with the activation alert. Images and sound can also be captured and sent for other events such as when a child returns home, a housekeeper arrives, a panic button is pushed or if an employee leaves the premise. Now the customer has real information to verify any event situation. SafeScout is a superior product in that the unit is portable, easy to install, easy to use and less expensive than comparable security systems. SafeScout provides immediate protection without the need for technicians, installation, or complex programming. The system is as easy to install as an answering machine. SafeScout is perfect for condos, apartments, small offices and retail stores.
What type of images are captured and sent in the event of activation?
The SafeScout will send up to five (5) JPEG compressed VGA (640 columns X 480 rows of pixel or elements, each in 16 bit color) images in the event of a motion detection activation.
Where do I place my SafeScout?
The SafeScout monitor covers a 40 foot by 40 foot area to detect motion. Ideally the SafeScout should be placed in a corner to cover the main entrance and open space. The coverage area spans out 70 degrees from wherever the unit is placed. Typically, whatever you can see at a 70 degree angle from this position, the SafeScout can see. A view guide is located on the top of the SafeScout to assist in setting up the viewing angle. A "walk test" is available to test the area coverage. We recommend the SafeScout be placed in the main room of the premise looking at the front door, placed in a corner, not looking at a window, on a table, counter, or bookshelf and preferably 4-7 feet off the floor.
The SafeScout can be mounted on a wall or below kitchen cabinets by using the included U-bracket. The U-bracket will also allow the unit to angle up or down for optimum viewing. An Optional corner bracket is available and can be ordered by calling customer care.
What happens if I set off my system by mistake?
The SafeScout has a 30 second entrance delay giving you plenty of time to disarm your system. Should your system siren sound loudly after the delay period, simply disarm your SafeScout. The SafeScout has a built in cancel feature to stop any alert notification if the SafeScout is disarmed during the transmission of an alert. The SafeScout system also has a 30 second delay allowing you time to leave once the system is armed. Should you find that you need additional time after you have armed the system, simply disarm the SafeScout and re-arm when you are ready to leave.
Can I be notified when my child leaves or comes home from school?
Yes, an optional service can notify you when your child arms or disarms the SafeScout. With the Entry or Exit Alerts you will receive three images and sound so that you can see and hear that your child is home at a specific time. You can even designate a specific remote keyfob to a child to use to arm and disarm the system and generate associated entry and exit alerts.
