| The Tattletale Programmer is designed to encrypt certain Inovonics FA transmitters to an individual Tattletale base unit. The base unit can have a total of 16 sensors programmed to 8 zones, with an A and B side for each zone. Default zone type are listed below:
Default Zone Types:
- ZONE1=DELAY
- ZONE2=DELAY
- ZONE3=DELAY
- ZONE4=INSTANT
- ZONE5=INSTANT
- ZONE6=INSTANT
- ZONE7=DELAY
- ZONE8=24-HOUR/FIRE*
Important:
Do not program any type of sensor except smoke detector or rate of rise sensor to Zone 8 without changing zone type first.
To program a sensor:
- Connect transformer to AC power
- Connect power connector to Programmer
- Connect programming cable to Programmer
- Programmer will automatically power-up
- Connect other end of programming calbe to 3 pins on
- Follow on-screen instructions, press reset button on sensor
- When complete check the programming by observing the corresponding ZONE LIGHTS on the tattletale alarm unit.

- The HOUSE CODE can be found in the tattletale alarm unit package or by calling tattletale customer service.
- STAR (*) KEY = YES/OK/ENTER
- POUND (#) KEY = NO/ABORT/BACK
- PRESS RESET BUTTON ON TRANSMITTER (TX) WHEN PROMPTED BY SCREEN
- SEE INDIVIDUAL TRANSMITTER INSTRUCTION SHEETS FOR RESET BUTTON LOCATIONS
- KEYFOB USER #S = 10,11,12,13,14
Sensor types:
Type 1= keyfob
Type 2 = door/window
Type 3 = loop, indoor motion, outdoor motion, smoke detector,
door/window with external contact
Type 4 = Rattler,Container Motion, Liquid Level sensor
Rate of Rise sensor, Glassbreak Detector, Panic Pendant,Hi
Temperature and Low-Temperature sensors
IMPORTANT:
THE PROGRAMMER WILL NOT MAKE CORRECTIONS FOR
OPERATOR ERROR CONCERNING HOUSE CODES,ZONE
SELECTION AND SENSOR TYPES.
