20-Second Installation
Simply remove your handset from your telephone, and plug the modular jack cable into the handset plug supplied with the Voice Transformer. That's it.
Since most people are unfamiliar with the elements of the human voice, here are the details. Human voices consist of two components: One is comprised of fundamental, pitch-sensitive waves; the other contains non-pitch-sensitive fixed harmonics. The harmonics components that change along with vocal cords and with the physical shape of the vocal tract add distinctive characteristics to person's voice.
All of the other Telephone Voice Changers on the market today strictly pitch shifters, which fail to address the human voice's critical formant control component. They change formants when they alter pitch, so voices that are pitched higher sound like "Mickey Mouse." You can control pitch independently using the Voice Transformer's pitch slider, without making formants change, while its formant slider works to effectively control the vocal cords and shape of the vocal tract. This enables the Voice Transformer to change a male voice into a convincing female or even a child's voice, yet sound completely natural.
(Not compatible with cellular phones, cordless phones, or dial-in-handset phones.)
NOTE: This unit has been expertly modified and enhanced
for telephone operation using the Boss VT-1 Voice Transformer. The Boss VT-1, as
