How long will the battery last?
The battery can last up to 15 days on standby and up to 8 days while active. This estimate is based on the average use of one hour per day of motion-activated tracking in 1-minute intervals. The device can be programmed to conserve battery life by reporting with less frequency than the standard 1-minute intervals. For example, setting the device to report location every 5 minutes can increase the battery life to 35 days. Programming it every 10 minutes can increase the battery life to 55 days, at approximately 1 hour of tracking per day.
How does the Spark Nano attach to the car?
A magnetic case for this device is available for purchase separately. It is used to mount the tracker underneath the vehicle. Without the magnetic case, the tracker would be best placed inside the car for optimal signal. We recommend avoiding placing the tracker in an enclosed space within the vehicle, like the trunk or glove box, as the metal can interfere with the signal. Learn more about. Can I see the tracking map on my cell phone? How do I track on a mobile device?
Yes, you can track the device using the BrickHouse Locate GPS app available for iOS and Android devices. You can download it for free here.
How far is the range?
Our GPS trackers work anywhere in North America, including the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. If you are outside of those ranges, please check our international GPS Trackers.
Does the Tracker require a SIM card or, do I have to sign up with a cell phone company?
The BrickHouse Security service plan includes cellular service and SIM cards.

Why is there a monthly fee?
Unlike the GPS in your car that shows you your location, our GPS trackers collect location data that gets sent over a cellular connection. Once the location data is received by our cloud servers, you can access that data from anywhere, using nearly any device. In other words, your GPS tracker purchased from us features built-in cellular service for sending location information. Why is cellular service needed for a GPS tracker?
While most GPS trackers use satellites to determine their location, they must use cellular service to report their location information back to the user. Can the device send text message alerts when movement is detected?
You can set up text or SMS alerts based on speed so you will get notified when the vehicle starts to move.
