Payment and Purchasing Policy
Welcome to BrickHouse Security. BrickHouse Security provides its services to you subject to the following conditions. If you visit or shop at BrickHouse Security, you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully.
Sale prices shown on BrickHouseSecurity.com are in U.S. Dollars (USD). Sales Tax will be added to all orders within Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
Current billing address and phone information must be included with every order. We accept the following forms of payment: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover, PayPal, Western Union, cashier's checks, bank checks, company checks, money orders, and international wire transfers. The order will not be shipped until the funds have cleared in BrickHouse Electronics' Bank Account.
Service Items - Terms & Conditions
Purchase of an item which requires a service plan (including, but not limited to: GPS trackers, MORzA Cameras, and Alarm services) constitutes agreement to pay for any recurring service fees required for the service on the device. BrickHouse Security ships all items active with monthly subscriptions to begin billing 7 days after your purchase date unless otherwise stated on the product page for the device. All subscriptions will auto-renew every 30 days or at the end of your prepaid period of service.
Service will be automatically charged to the credit card used for the purchase of the product and by providing us with this card for your order you are authorizing us to charge it for the services and all amounts due. The credit card provided on your order will be set as the default card for billing on your account unless you provide us with an alternate credit card for payment of services. BrickHouse reserves the right to charge service to any other credit card listed on your account in the event that the default card declines for any owed service fees. If we are unable to successfully charge you for service fees on your account BrickHouse may terminate your service without notice.
All deactivation of service requests must be made over the phone by contacting our customer support team. Only the account holder listed on the account is authorized to terminate service and BrickHouse reserves the right to deny a service cancellation request made by any other party on behalf of the account holder. All service fees, both monthly charges and prepaid amounts, are non-refundable and will not be prorated. Service will be terminated at the end of your current billing period that you are in at the time you submit your request to us.
By purchasing this device you accept full responsibility for notifying BrickHouse of any changes you wish to be made to your service and that you must notify BrickHouse as per the instructions above to deactivate service if you wish to stop the recurring billing for your account. If you do not request to terminate service you will continue to be billed regardless of if the device is being used as BrickHouse incurs costs for keeping your account active even if the device itself is not actively being used.
Credit Card Orders
BrickHouse Security reserves the right to request additional information for proof of billing information. For your protection, credit card orders may be delayed while we confirm your billing information. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number-the address and phone number your credit card company has on file for you. Incorrect information may cause a delay in processing your order.
Please be aware that once we receive credit card authorization, the funds may be reserved up to 30 days depending on the bank (please check the policy of your lending institution). If you are paying with a Debit Card, make sure you are aware of the limitations on daily withdrawals (if any) of your card. Once your card has been charged, you will receive an invoice for your order. This invoice should not be confused with the order receipt or order acceptance acknowledgment – these are automatic and are sent by our system prior to invoicing.
Cashier's checks, bank checks, company checks, money orders, and international wire transfers are also acceptable forms of payment. If you are using one of these payment methods, an email will be sent to you when you place your order instructing you on how to complete payment for your purchase.
Note: Do not ship returns to these addresses without return instructions. Please call 800-654-7966 to obtain your correct return address. For Domestic & International Wire Transfers, BrickHouse Security holds the right to withhold goods at our discretion or at the advisement of the Bank until the funds have cleared and are considered in good stead or holding. Wire Transfers transactions may be subject to a processing fee.
For bank and company checks, orders will ship only after funds are released from your financial institution to BrickHouse Security. This could take up to 10-15 business days after receipt of payment by BrickHouse Security. All checks returned unpaid will be subject to a $40.00 returned check fee. Additionally, the check amount will be subject to a 29% interest rate per year, or the highest interest rate permissible by law. On orders being paid for by means other than credit card, availability of the product might change while your payment is in transit or funds are being cleared. BrickHouse Security cannot reserve or guarantee continued availability.
Shipping To An Address Other Than Your Billing Address
To protect our customers from credit card fraud, we may hold an order for further verification if it is being shipped to an address different from the billing address. In some cases when we are unable to verify the shipping address being used on an order we may ask that your order be shipped to the billing address or to a FedEx Shipping Center near you for pick up. We do not ship to unverified shipping addresses as per instructions of the credit card company. This is for your protection and to help maintain a safe online shopping experience. Persons who commit fraudulent activity will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Both the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service are responsible for investigating Internet Fraud Cases. Fraudulent information will be provided to the issuing bank, shipping carriers and networked with our business partners.
Most orders we ship do not require signature on delivery. However, depending on the dollar amount of your order, it may be shipped “Signature Required” for proof of delivery. If you cannot be at the shipping location to sign for your package, please contact the shipping carrier directly with your tracking number to request that they hold the item at your local facility. You can then go to pick up your package at your earliest convenience.
Packages returned to BrickHouse Security due to any of the reasons listed above will be subject to both a restocking fee and the shipping charge to have the package sent back to us. Customers assume responsibility if damaged merchandise is signed for at the time of delivery. All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery; if you suspect damage, please note 'damaged' with your signature or refuse the entire delivery and call us immediately.
Pricing and Availability Policy
Due to changing cost and availability, we reserve the right to alter our prices. Our pricing and availability are subject to change without notice. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information listed. However, BrickHouse Security does not assume any responsibility for any errors contained therein nor from orders arising from those errors. We reserve the right to cancel any orders received without notice.
Our prices change often due to supply, demand, specials and other uncontrollable factors. Our Company does not offer price protection. If you place an order and the price is lowered on our website at a later date, we are not obligated to refund the difference.
Please understand that the receipt of an e-mail order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order; it confirms that our system has received your order. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order.
We reserve the right to correct any rare pricing errors or other errors on our Web site, to limit the order quantity for any item, and to refuse service to any customer.
BrickHouse Security has offices and employees in New York and Indiana. However, some other States now require sellers to collect sales tax. If we are collecting sales tax on your order it is because your home State requires us to do so. All taxes collected are remitted to that state in accordance with their laws. Your tax dollars go to your own State government. We are unable to waive sales tax unless you provide us with an official tax exempt certificate showing your status as a non profit, government agency, or reseller. If you have a question or comment about sales tax it should be directed to your own local State government.
Rebates and Discount Codes
Rebates cannot be combined with any other discount or coupon that is offered from BrickHouse Security.
In most cases, once an order is placed, we are not able to cancel the order due to the speed in which we process and ship orders. If you no longer want a product after the order has been placed, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization number. If your product has shipped and you refuse delivery, you will be held responsible for the cost of shipping in both directions and possible restocking fees.
To cancel monthly GPS service, please contact our customer service department during normal business hours at 800-654-7966. Please contact us 48 hours before your billing date to avoid being charged for the next month. Purchase of any GPS system constitutes agreeing to activation and monthly service fees chosen upon sale.
To request a return please call our returns hotline toll free at 800-654-7966. Once your return is authorized, an email will be sent to you with your assigned return merchandise authorization and all instructions for the return. Once your return is received by our returns department it will be processed within 5 business days. Additional Warranty Coverage purchases are not returnable or refundable.
BrickHouse Security stands behind our products with a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. Requests for refunds on items must be made within 30 days of receiving your order. Any requests for a refund made after 30 days may be denied.
Some items have return limitations and must be returned in original unopened packaging in order to be eligible for a refund. Once these products have been opened, you will no longer be eligible for a refund on the item and will be covered for warranty replacement on the product only. These products include:
Custom made or special order items
Potentially contaminated items that present hygiene concerns once used (i.e. ear pieces).
Boxed software (Please note: downloadable software is non-returnable)
All refunds will be issued back to the original form of payment used to make the purchase. The refund will be issued for the item(s) returned only. Shipping charges from the original order will not be refunded as part of the return.
If you would prefer to exchange your item for a different product rather than receive a refund please contact us within 30 days of receiving your item. If there is any price difference for the exchange you will be charged or refunded as appropriate at the time your return is received and processed.
All products are backed by our standard 90-Day Warranty. If your product stops working within 90 days of receiving the product and we are unable to resolve the issue through troubleshooting, we will issue a return for a replacement of the same item.
Any product which has a recurring subscription service (i.e. GPS Tracking, MORzA Video/Alarms) is automatically covered by our Lifetime Service Warranty. As long as you have active service for the device with BrickHouse Security, we will replace or repair any item that is not fully functioning.
As part of our inspection process for warranty replacement requests, all items are tested upon receipt. If the returned item is found to be in working condition and free of defects your original item will be returned to you. If the item is confirmed to be defective, a new replacement unit will be shipped.
Additional Warranty Coverage
Additional Warranty Coverage purchases not returnable. Additional Warranty Coverage purchased from BrickHouse Security is registered, underwritten, and fulfilled by Customer Priority Service (CPS). You can visit this page or more information about the coverage we offer through CPS.
All items returned are subject to an inspection/testing process.
If it is determined that an item returned is not in salable condition, you may be charged a restocking fee to cover any damages or missing parts for
the returned item. Conditions that will incur a restocking fee include, but are not limited to: damage to the product, its components, accessories or packaging. A restocking fee may also be assessed for missing parts, accessories or packaging.
If the product has been altered or physically damaged due to misuse, this may void the warranty and/or return eligibility of the item. In these rare cases your return may be denied and the product will be returned to you.
Return shipping is paid by the customer for all products, unless the item is defective and under warranty, or as otherwise specified in a specific product detail page on our website. For qualifying returns, a prepaid FedEx return label will be provided.
It is strongly recommended that you use a traceable return mailing service and to keep a record of the tracking number for the return shipment. BrickHouse Security will not be responsible for any lost return shipments. In the case that proof of delivery is requested for a returned package, the return tracking number will be required.
Items returned without a return merchandise authorization issued by BrickHouse Security may be denied and sent back to the customer. To ensure your return is processed in a speedy manner, we ask that all returns be requested through our returns hotline at 800-654-7966, so that we may issue the appropriate authorization and provide instructions on where to send your item. We do not process any returns in our corporate offices in New York. In rare cases, you may be specifically directed to return an item to our New York offices by a BrickHouse Security customer representative. In all other cases, any packages shipped to New York will be sent to our warehouse in Indianapolis, IN for further inspection and processing.
BrickHouse Security is unable to reimburse any customs or duties fees paid by international customers in the event of a return of an item delivered outside the United States.
As stated in our shipping policy, BrickHouse Security is not responsible for any additional charges levied by the recipient’s country for importing our products. As such, we will not be able to issue any reimbursements for those fees.
For warranty replacements, we are able to mark the packages for the replacement shipment as replacement products. However, it is still up to the discretion of the recipient country as to whether or not additional customs or duties fees will be issued for the new shipment. Regrettably, BrickHouse Security is not able to control whether or not these fees will be issued. Any fees will remain the responsibility of the customer.
Refused International Shipments: If your package is returned to us due to your refusal to pay customs fees, any fees charged to us by the carrier for the return of the package will be deducted from the amount refunded to you for the item.
If the refusal to pay customs fees results in the package being put into abandonment by the carrier and the items are not returned to us we will not be able to refund you for these items.
