After a simple two-wire connection to your vehicle’s battery, the device is ready. Under the hood, in the trunk, wherever your vehicle’s battery is located, the Livewire Volt will transmit reliable GPS data without recharging or maintenance. Installing next to the battery also ensures a reasonable level of covert tracking in most practical situations.
And unlike competing trackers, the Livewire Volt is a hardwired GPS device which can track when the vehicle is not running. That makes it handy for fleet relocations and shipment, and can also alert you if the vehicle is towed. This technology presents no risk to your vehicle’s electrical system – the Livewire Volt contains its own 200mAh battery backup, and it is configured to draw power only when the vehicle is in motion.
The Livewire Volt is waterproof and IP67 compliant, allowing the device to work in any type of weather, and protects for up to 1 meter. The 200mAh NiMH battery allows the device to detect tampering or removal of the device.
Device ships pre-configured, but your tracker may require up to 24 hours to connect to begin reporting, once installed.
