The REXP-1620U-RP-US 16-Bay SAS RAID Expansion Enclosure is meant to be used with an existing QNAP NAS system, running QTS 4.2 or newer, to expand its drive capacity. This model can house up to 16 3.5"/2.5" SAS, SATA, and SSD drives so you can use whatever drives fit your application. It connects its multiple expansion bays via high-speed mini-SAS cables and features a 12 Gbps SAS interface with a 3U rackmount form factor. Combined with the QTS Storage Manager, you'll be able to back up storage, manage your drives, and easily identify faulty drives for maintenance. In addition to expanding your storage capacity, the REXP-1620U-RP-US can perform speedy and secure backup for the QNAP NAS. IT administrators will be able to back up data to it on a real-time or scheduled basis.
