The TS-EC880 Pro 8-Bay NAS Server runs the QTS operating system and is able to function as a NAS for data backup, file synchronization, remote access, cross-platform file sharing, iSCSI and virtualization applications, multimedia applications, business functions, and more. It is 10GbE-ready and well suited for the creation and use of a personal cloud so you can access your data from virtually anywhere. It is a high-performance and high-capacity NAS server that is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, and UNIX.
The TS-EC880 Pro is powered by a 3.4 GHz Intel Xeon E3-1245 v3 Quad-Core processor, which will allow you to run multiple functions simultaneously. The CPU can also be overclocked to 3.8 GHz, the built-in 2GB of DDR3 ECC RAM will allow quick access to frequently used files and programs, and network connectivity is achieved via the 4 x Gigabit Ethernet ports. A variety of storage modes are also supported, including JBOD, as well as RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, which offer data redundancy, speed, or a combination of both.
This 8-bay enclosure has the ability to natively house both 3.5" or 2.5" SATA III hard drives or SSD drives. It can reach a throughput of up to 2,000+ MB/s and 226,000+ IOPS. Using the external USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, this QNAP can be connected to other QNAP devices as well as other external drives. Internally, there are two cache ports and support for up to 4 SSDs for caching. Additionally, the TS-EC880 Pro is validated with military level FIPS 140-2 AES 256-bit encryption, helping to prevent sensitive business data from unauthorized access and breaches. The TS-EC880 Pro operates on 100-240VAC at 50/60 Hz and includes 4 x Ethernet cables, 32 x 2.5" HDD flat head screws, 32 x 3.5" HDD flat head screws, an Intel X520-SR2/DA2 10GbE Network Adapter Bracket, an Emulex OneConnect 10GbE Network Adapter Bracket, and a power cord.
