The TVS-1271U-RP-i7-32G-US 12-Bay NAS Enclosure is a reliable and scalable NAS solution to fulfill data backup, file synchronization, and remote access. It is 10GbE-ready, delivers strong performance, and supports cross-platform file sharing, comprehensive backup solutions, and iSCSI and virtualization applications. The TVS-1271U-RP follows a 2U rackmount form factor and is powered by a 3.2 GHz Intel Core i7-4790S Quad-Core processor, which will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously. The built-in 32GB of DDR3 RAM will allow quick access to frequently-used file and programs and may be upgraded to 32GB. While network connectivity is achieved using the 4 x Gigabit Ethernet ports, the TVS-1271U-RP can be expanded to have a total of 8 x Gigabit Ethernet ports. It is also 10GbE ready and can be upgraded with 4 x 10GbE ports and 4 x 1GbE ports by installing an optional dual-port 10GbE and 1GbE network card. This NAS also supports JBOD and a variety of RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, which offer data redundancy, speed, or a combination of both.

The 12-bay enclosure has the ability to natively house both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA III and SATA II hard drives or SSD drives. To support both drive formats, screws are included to accommodate each drive size. The TVS-1271U-RP can reach a throughput of up to 3,300+ MB/s and 162,000+ IOPS. Using the external USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, this QNAP NAS can be connected to other QNAP devices as well as other external drives. Internally, there are two mSATA ports for on-board read caching using separately sold mSATA flash modules. Additionally, the TVS-1271U-RP is validated with military level FIPS 140-2 AES 256-bit encryption, helping to prevent sensitive business data from unauthorized access and breaches.
