The TVS-671-i5-8G-US 6-Bay High-Performance Turbo vNAS delivers strong performance with up to 2,300 MB/s data throughput and 146,000 IOPS while providing a comprehensive storage solution for SMBs to build their own private cloud. The TVS-671-i5-8G can perform real-time 4K and 1080p video transcoding to convert videos to universal formats that can be played on most PCs, mobile devices, and Smart TVs with 7.1 channel surround sound via HDMI output. It is powered by a 3.0 GHz Intel Core i5-4590S Quad-Core processor, which will allow you to run multiple functions simultaneously. The built-in 8GB of DDR3 RAM allows quick access to frequently used files and programs. This NAS's RAM is configured as 2 x 4GB and may be expanded up to 16GB (2 x 8GB) using the dual memory slots. Network connectivity is achieved via the 4 x Gigabit Ethernet ports, which may be expanded to 8 x Gigabit Ethernet ports or 4 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 x Gigabit Ethernet ports using the optional dual-port 10GbE and 1GbE network card. A variety of RAID modes are also supported, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and 5 + hot spare; Single Disk; and JBOD, each of which offers data redundancy, speed, or a combination of both.
This 6-bay enclosure can house 3.5" or 2.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s and SATA II 3 Gb/s hard drives or SSDs. To support both drive formats, screws are included to accommodate both drive sizes. Using a 2 x 10GbE configuration, data throughput of the TVS-671-i5-8G can reach read speeds of up to 2,340 MB/s and 146,045 IOPS and write speeds of up to 2,150 MB/s and 113,747 IOPS. Using the 3 x USB 3.0 ports and 2 x USB 2.0 ports, this QNAP can be connected to other QNAP devices as well as other external drives.
