The TS-453U-RP-US 4-Bay SMB NAS features an easy-to-use QTS operating system that manages optional SATA III drives to provide a comprehensive storage solution for SMBs or build a reliable private cloud. It supports VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V, and advanced virtualization features. To protect your sensitive data, you can guard your data with high-performance AES 256-bit encryption and antivirus. For storage, it comes with four hot-swappable bays that can house 3.5" or 2.5" hard drives and SSDs. Moreover, you can expand the total raw storage capacity up to 128TB with a sold-separately UX-1200U-RP QNAP expansion enclosure.
The NAS is powered by a quad-core 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron processor with 4GB of DDR3L RAM (upgradable to 8GB). The Celeron processor can also automatically increase the clock rate from 2.0 GHz to 2.41 GHz when required for CPU-intensive tasks. For connectivity, it has four Gigabit LAN and five USB 3.0 ports along with an HDMI output. It delivers up to 421 MB/s throughput once drives are installed, while fast encryption and decryption performance provide transfer speeds of up to 240 MB/s with AES 256-bit volume encryption to ensure the safety of sensitive business data stored in the TS-453U-RP. Additionally, QNAP has built this NAS with two 250W power supplies, which deliver redundant power to the TS-453U-RP.
